The idea for Bouki Ak Malis was born from the founders' own childhood memories of gathering with family and hearing these legendary tales passed down by parents, grandparents, and community elders. The characters of Bouki and Malis aren't just fictional figures — they are cultural icons that every Haitian child knows by heart. Bouki, with his endearing naivety and boundless enthusiasm, and Malis, the sharp-witted trickster who always finds a way out, represent a timeless dynamic that transcends generations and borders.
We asked ourselves: what if these beloved characters could reach Haitian families in the diaspora — in New York, Miami, Montreal, Paris, and beyond — in a way that's modern, accessible, and deeply fun? What if a child growing up far from Haiti could still connect with their cultural roots through play? That question became the engine behind everything we've built.
After months of development, research, and a genuine commitment to cultural authenticity, Bouki Ak Malis the game was born — a bubble shooter where players take on the role of clever Malis, aiming and firing colorful tropical fruit bubbles to rescue Bouki across 50+ levels and beautifully crafted Haitian-inspired maps.
